What CardSignals does
CardSignals tracks the credit cards you already hold. It shows the best card for each kind of purchase, tracks statement credits and welcome bonuses, explains issuer rules like the Amex lifetime rule and Chase 5/24, and reminds you before a credit resets or an annual fee is due.
It's general information, not financial advice. Always confirm current terms with your card issuer.
Adding a card
Tap Add a card, search by card name or issuer, and enter the date you opened it. The open date is required because issuer rules depend on it. Closed cards go in your history and still count toward those rules.
The free plan tracks up to 2 open cards. Closed cards in your history are unlimited.
Is my information safe?
CardSignals never connects to your bank, never moves money and never asks for your full card number. Your cards and account are stored in Canada. Some service providers, such as crash reporting and email delivery, work outside Canada. Our Privacy Policy lists every provider and what it receives.
Reminders aren't arriving
In the app, open Settings and check that Push notifications or Email reminders are on. For push, also allow notifications for CardSignals in your phone's settings. For email, check your spam folder and add support@cardsignals.ca to your contacts.
The Chrome extension
CardSignals for Chrome shows which of your cards earns the most on the site you're on. Sign in with the same email and password as the app. There's no separate account, and your cards come from the app.
Click the CardSignals icon on any site to see your best card there. On popular shopping, grocery, dining, travel and streaming sites, a small panel also appears in the corner. Minimize it, or choose Never here to hide it on that site. The popup lists the sites you've hidden, with Show again to bring one back.
Hold cards in both countries? Pick Both, Canadian or US at the top of the popup to choose which cards it compares.
Amex offers: on your Amex Canada offers page, Add all offers adds every offer while you watch. Add my Amex offers in the popup takes you there first. If the page doesn't look the way it expects, it stops without clicking anything. Nothing from your Amex page leaves your browser.
The extension never reads what you buy or type on shopping sites. It only uses the site's address to pick a category.
Cancel a subscription
iPhone or iPad: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then CardSignals, then Cancel Subscription.
Android: open the Google Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then CardSignals, then Cancel subscription.
You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a store subscription. Subscribed another way? Email support@cardsignals.ca and we'll help.
Restore a subscription on a new phone
Sign in with the same CardSignals account and Pro comes with it. If it doesn't show, open the CardSignals Pro screen and tap Restore purchases, signed in to the same Apple or Google account you subscribed with.
Export or delete your data
In the app, open Settings, then Data & privacy. Export my data saves everything CardSignals stores about you. To delete your account, scroll to the bottom of Settings and tap Delete account under Danger zone. It permanently removes your account and all of its data.
