Terms of Service

These terms cover CardSignals: the website, the waitlist, the mobile app and the browser extension (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. Features may change over time.

Informational only, not financial advice

Everything CardSignals shows you (best-card suggestions, bonus and credit tracking, fee reminders, issuer rules and the rent optimizer) is general information, not financial, tax or legal advice. We are not a bank, card issuer, broker or licensed advisor. You decide whether to apply for, keep or close a card. If you need advice, talk to a qualified professional.

Always verify card terms with the issuer

Card details change often. Earn rates, bonuses, credits, fees and approval rules may differ from what CardSignals shows. Before you apply for a card or rely on a reward or fee, check the current terms with the issuer. If the issuer's terms and CardSignals disagree, the issuer's terms apply.

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't promise the information is accurate, complete or current, that the Service will always be available, or that any estimate will match what you actually earn. You use the Service at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, CardSignals is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost rewards, missed bonuses, declined applications, fees or credit-score effects that come from using or relying on the Service. These terms don't limit any consumer rights you have under Canadian law that can't be waived.

Affiliate links

Some links on the website, in emails and in the app (such as partner buttons in the rent optimizer) are referral links. We may be paid if you sign up through one. It costs you nothing extra and does not change what CardSignals recommends.

Acceptable use

Use the Service for your own personal, lawful use. Don't try to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer it, access it without permission, or use it to break a card issuer's terms. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

Your account

You need an account to use the app. Keep your login safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can export your data (Settings, then Data & privacy) or delete your account (Settings, then Delete account at the bottom) any time in the app, or on our account deletion page. The website also collects email addresses for our waitlist (see our Privacy Policy).

CardSignals Pro subscription

CardSignals Pro is an optional monthly subscription. It renews automatically until you cancel. You see the price before you buy.

Bought in the app: Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) charges your account when you confirm. It renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings. Apple and Google handle refunds under their own policies.

Bought on our website: Stripe charges your card each month until you cancel. To cancel, email support@cardsignals.ca.

After you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription. If the price changes, we will tell you before it applies to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
