Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
These terms govern your use of CardSignals — our website, waitlist, mobile app, and browser extension (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. CardSignals is a pre-launch product, so parts of the Service may change or be unavailable.
Informational only — not financial advice
CardSignals helps you get more value from credit cards you already hold. Everything it shows you — best-card suggestions, welcome-bonus and statement-credit tracking, annual-fee reminders, churning-rule countdowns, and the rent optimizer — is general information and educational guidance, not financial, tax, or legal advice. It is guidance, not a guarantee. We are not a bank, a card issuer, a broker, or a licensed advisor, and using CardSignals does not create an advisory relationship. Decisions about applying for, holding, or closing any card are yours alone; consider your own circumstances and consult a qualified professional if you need advice.
Always verify card terms with the issuer
Card details change often. Earn rates, welcome bonuses, statement credits, annual fees, foreign-transaction fees, application rules, and eligibility can differ from what CardSignals shows, and card data may be out of date. Before you apply for a card or count on any reward, benefit, or fee, confirm the current terms directly with the issuer. The issuer's official terms always govern; where they differ from CardSignals, the issuer wins.
No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't warrant that the information is accurate, complete, current, or uninterrupted, or that any optimization, projection, or estimate will match what you actually earn. You use the Service at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CardSignals and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for any lost rewards, missed bonuses, declined applications, fees incurred, or credit-score impacts, arising from your use of — or reliance on — the Service. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable Canadian consumer-protection law that cannot be waived.
Affiliate links
Some links on our website and in our emails are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you apply for a product through them — at no extra cost to you. This never changes which card the optimizer recommends: our suggestions are driven by your wallet and the numbers, not by commissions. We do not place affiliate links inside the mobile app.
Acceptable use
Use the Service only for your own personal, lawful use. Don't misuse it — for example, don't try to break, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to it, and don't use it to break any card issuer's terms. We may suspend or end access that misuses the Service or these terms.
Accounts and the waitlist
Right now the website collects email addresses for our launch waitlist (see our Privacy Policy). When accounts open, you'll be responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. You can ask us to remove your data at any time.
Changes to these terms
As CardSignals grows we may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date above, and continuing to use the Service means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
